Welcome to Le Marchande — Falmouth, Maine’s favorite little treasure trove of “I didn’t know I needed this but now I can’t live without it.”

Founded (and lovingly obsessed over) by designer Susie Smith Coughlin, Le Marchande is what happens when great taste, a sharp eye, and just a tiny bit of design-induced chaos come together under one very stylish roof. Located in the charming town of Falmouth, Maine, our shop is less “store” and more “carefully curated rabbit hole.”

Susie has a gift — some call it talent, others call it a superpower — for finding pieces that feel like they’ve lived a life before landing on our shelves. Think timeless, textured, a little unexpected, and always conversation-worthy. If it doesn’t spark joy, curiosity, or at least a “wait… where did you get that?” it doesn’t make the cut.

We’re not about perfect homes (because honestly, who has one?). We’re about real homes — layered, personal, a little quirky, and full of stories. The kind of spaces where guests feel welcome and you feel like yourself, just with better lighting and nicer throw pillows.
